Chris Cannon

Pastor
Hello! Thanks for taking time to read my bio! My name is Chris Cannon. I have the great privilege of serving as the Pastor at First Baptist Church Troy. I love Jesus’ church and I love serving Him and His people. My heart beats for teaching and preaching God’s word from the bible and seeing God’s people discover who God really is and how He wants them to live in relationship with Him.
I’m married to Stephanie who is kind, loving, and generous. I like to describe her as Spring and Summer wrapped up together. We have three boys: Caleb, Daniel, and Nathan. In my spare time, you can find me fishing with my boys, watching college football in the Fall, roasting coffee beans on my front porch, or hanging with my family at home.

Thomas Haak

Youth Minister
My name is Thomas Haak, and I have the honor of serving as the youth pastor at First Baptist Church of Troy. I am a graduate of Baylor University, where I studied religion and business. (Sic’em Bears!) This year, I am working on my master's degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I live in Temple with Amelia, my wife (and my best friend). Amelia and I, both native Texans, grew up in the Fort Worth area before moving to central Texas. In our free time, we enjoy watching movies, listening to worship music, and going on mission trips.

Samuel Golovin

Music Minister
I love music and love that God’s plan for me has been to use my talents in music to serve Him. I have a heart for worship, tech, and sports. I love that I get to do all three almost every day. As our family grows, we are all in for what God has in store for us.  I can’t wait to see what God will do. He has been faithful and will continue to be!

Kathleen Winters

Administrative Assistant
From the farmlands of Indiana to the mountains of Arizona and then to “Down Under” Australia, I have enjoyed meeting God’s people wherever He has taken us. I like being a homemaker; our family consists of two daughters, one son, one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren. My husband, Bob, went to be with the Lord in 2014. In Australia, Bob taught in universities and Baptist Churches. Our home was often filled with young people, always hungry for food and fellowship! I love to bake, especially pies! The Lord has always encouraged me with Psalm 32:8 "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My loving eye on you."
