Speaker Michelle Ruddell is an author and speaker who encourages others to fight the battle of better over bitter with the joy of the Lord and an attitude of gratitude.
Michelle leads a lifegroup, co-leads the Waco Christian Writers Workshop, and volunteers with Freedom’s Gate, a ministry to women incarcerated in the Mclennan County Jail.
A single-parent turned empty-nester, Michelle has experienced God’s faithfulness through trials of divorce and the death of her son.
Michelle is the author of Welcome to the Club, I’m Sorry You’re Here, Hope for Grieving Parents, and has contributed to several devotional compilations. Her next book, From the Playground to the Battleground, a teacher devotional, is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2025.
Since retiring from teaching in 2024, Michelle is focusing on ministry and her new role as Mimo to her new granddaughter.
Worship Leader Holly Tucker grew up singing in church and performing on various stages at opries, fairs, churches and festivals around Texas. From the young age of 14, Holly began her career as a recording artist. Holly won the hearts of millions of television viewers in 2013 on Season 4 of NBC’s hit music reality show, The Voice. In her personal time, Holly, her husband Spencer and their Mini Australian Shepherd, Maverick, enjoy time at home and with family and going on walks together. She is very passionate about health and strength training, and helping lead worship on the praise team at her home church in Waco, First Woodway.
