What if I Could Change?

So what if you could change anything about yourself? What would it be?

  • Physical Appearance
  • Physical Abilities or Health
  • Bank Account Balance or Wealth
  • Social Status
  • Actions or Reactions
  • Occupation
  • Relationships
  • Personality Traits
  • Spirituality

Most of the modifications we come up with have to do with what we are on the outside

It is a FACT that the majority of these changes on our list can be considered  “Temporary” at best!

Everything that we possess is ours for a brief time.  It will either wear out and be replaced, be taken from us or be left behind when we die.

If we could make all of our dreams come true and change the things that mean most to us, there would be that “something else” that still needs changing.

Consider this.  Our relentless search for peace or for “something else” can only be found in “Someone”.

Listen to the words of Jesus….

“I (Jesus) have come that they may have life and have it in abundance.” – John 10:10

 The BIBLE also says…

“We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – Romans 5:1

“ For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

TheSomeonethat we need to bring change in our life can only be in knowing God our Creator and by trusting His son Jesus as Savior.

God created us in His own image to receive the abundant life that we all desperately need and desire.  It is not health or wealth, or even change in habits that is essential.

It is Jesus we need!

Wait!  There is a PROBLEM…

We choose to try and transform ourselves.  By doing things our way, we continue to disobey God and go our own direction.  This results in our being separated from God.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23

There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end, it leads to death.” – Proverbs 14:12

People have tried to close the gap in this division between themselves and God only to find it to be growing larger.

Any of our best attempts to modify or change are not good enough.

The Good News is that Jesus Christ died on the Cross and He rose from the grave to pay the penalty for your sin.  Only His payment can bridge the gap between you and God!

“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” – I Timothy 2:5

”But God demonstrated His own love for us in this:  While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

The inward change that God brings about in us will begin when we admit our sin and turn away from it.  It takes true repentance on your part and complete forgiveness on God’s part.

What’s next?

Through PRAYER, invite Jesus to come in and control your life and receive him as your Lord and Savior.

 The Bible says…

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” – Romans 10:13

 How to Pray:

“Dear God, I know I can’t change myself… I’ve tried many times and failed. I confess that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness.  I believe that Jesus died on the cross for me and that He rose from the grave. I want to turn from my sins and invite You to come into my life and change me.  I completely trust You. Amen”

My Commitment

I trust and accept Jesus to be my “Change Agent”.  I commit to Him as my personal Savior and Lord. I will commit to follow Jesus and learn about the changes He will make in me from this day forward.
